Signage to ensure risks to client liability and liquor licence compliance are reduced.
Artus Group has been working with our event venue clients to ensure risks are reduced in relation to liability and liquor licence compliance. Adding signage pre-entry advises guests on terms and conditions pre-entry to ensure guests have advance notice before entering the venue space and licensed area.
Event venue space – Often an event venue space is a stand-alone event space that operates differently than a standard licensed venue as a bar, pub or nightclub. These differences include the venue environment (hotel, art galleries, venue space), to liquor licence compliance obligations as available hour’s alcohol can be served and supplied to guests on site.
Often when an event venue space holds an event, guests may believe the event venue operates differently than a bar or nightclub in relation to policy and or terms of conditions upon entry.
Any venue that sells or supplies alcohol operates under the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 and normal compliance policy applies including:
- Allowing intoxication on a licensed premise (pre-entry or while within a licensed premise).
- Alcohol of any kind is not permitted to enter the licensed premise.
- Alcohol is not permitted to leave the licensed premise.
- Smoke-free environments act 1990.
Having signage displayed pre-entry reduces risks to client liability and liquor licence compliance obligations.
